  1. 1 billion children are in poverty, and according to UNICEF 22, 000 children die everyday because of this.
  2. In HK, in in 5 people live in poverty
  3. 40% of the HK population live in public housing
  4. 1 in 3 seniors struggle to meet their basic nutritional needs
  5. Poverty could be in terms of time not just money
  6. More than 750 million people lack access to hygienic/suitable drinking water
  7. 805 million people around the world do not have enough food to eat

  1. The poverty line in hong kong for one person a month is HKD $3275
  2. The minimum wage in Hong Kong, introduced in 2011 is HKD $28 per hour
  3. There are around 200,000 people estimated to be living in what the government call “inadequate housing”.
  4. More than half of the world’s population is living on approximately $20 a day
  5. 80% live on less than $155 a day.
